    I am 15 years old. I am on my 4th High School year in Ausiàs March Institut. I do synchronized swimming in CN Joan Pelegrí and in CE Meditarri, and compete in championships within Spain and Catalonia.

    Being part of KIDS Barcelona is a privilege, an honor, a unique experience. Having the opportunity to give my opinion about clinical pediatric research, collaborate and share information in an international level with other KIDS groups, and see how this work contributes to the welfare and clinical improvement of the youngest, allows me to appreciate the importance of our work.

    I am 16 years old. I am on my 1st year of Spanish Scientific Bachelor in cooperation with the Dual American Program in FEDAC College. I am passionate about biology and my main hobbies are playing the piano, travelling and learning foreigner languages.

    I had never thought about the possibility of helping a severe sick patient with my same age. The KIDS group provides us with this wonderful opportunity, and it always has work and dedication as ultimate landmarks to conduct a project that will make clinical trials more bearable to the patient.

    I am 15 years old and I am on my 1st course of International Bachelor in Oak House School. My parents are doctors and biomedical research as well as medicine itself are appealing to me.

    Clinical research oriented to pediatric patients needs the figure of the young expert patients, in order to be designed according to their needs and characteristics. KIDS Barcelona is a thrilling project that enables us to satisfy the peculiarities of paediatric population. In Hospital Sant Joan de Déu we can do research along with the patients, thanks to KIDS Barcelona’s devotion and altruistic spirit.

    Fellow of EUPATI (European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation). Specialist in eHealth, with wide experience in the field of social networks, virtual communities and patient engagement in clinical research. Degree in Educational Sciences.

    Research is an attitude. Getting to know and use the scientific method is the best tool to understand the surrounding world and, especially in medicine, understanding the origin of diseases and finding their cure is a must and a privilege.

    Pediatrician with specialty in Pediatric Rheumatology in Hospital Sant Joan de Déu. Medicine doctor. Associate Professor in Universitat de Barcelona. President of Spanish Pediatric Rheumatology Society.

    Merely by researching we move forward towards the cure of pediatric diseases. If we are all aware we will be more responsible, and children should also participate in the process.

    I did my specialty in Oncology in the US, with two fellowships in New York Hospital Weill Cornell University and in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). I have published over 75 scientific articles and I am an editor on different scientific magazines. I also collaborate with ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) and SIOP (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology).
